It will run from a debian chroot, but there are too many toolbars to have any usable viewable area, if it could be run fullscreen it might help, but you'd still not have much room, I could not find a way to disable toolbars, but didn't dig too deep.

I just installed the easy debian, so java is not problem any more.

please, could you tell me which steps you did in order to otain it?

I just decided gto open a new project with the aim of creating a similar program to guitar pro in qt for maemo.

If some one would like to help the name of the project is "pocketguitar" at garage.maemo.org.

Nor for the moment. I just try to port kguitar to qt.

i tried but all i got was a pictur of mr tux with a guitar in his hands and it just hung there? man it would be so cool to be able to read .gp4 files on my 900!

Guitar pro is released for iPhone. It is not released for maemo even though it is written in Qt4!!!
