no you misunderstood whole thing
I love my N900 and its not shuting down

here is what happened

I install kernels from extra devil and I overclock it too 800, 900, 1000, but when I did 1100 it just shotdown but its reboot it selt everthing was fine also 1200 was fine just shotdown after I put code in Xterm but I wanted to delete kernel cuz want to flash with other method so I uninstall kernel and it doesnt wanna boot up but before that when I overclocked it too 1100 and try to open notes it just shotdown and I was curious if anyone can figure it out what is going on not that I hate about N900 !! I never said I don like N900 and I never complain it anout anything!! I donno where you get that from but you misunderstood whole THING!!

I wanna know is anyone having problem as mine I try to reinstall before uninstall but it doesnt let me so I decide it to uninstall from app manager and that happend it doesnt wanna turn it on

Ah I HATE trying to locate things in that extremely bloated thread. There's a lot of useful information, but there's even more complaining/etc thrown in between...

Everyone's going to assume that it's because you're running the processor at approximately double the speed it's supposed to run at and electrons are going to do weird quantum things that are a bit hard to predict. So I wouldn't expect anyone to figure out things more than "don't run it so fast that weird things happen".

Hi, tried the cmds and successfully installed & removed kernel-flasher-maemo but the cmds to configure kernels like ideal/ulv etc.. it failed and found there's no kernel-load in /usr/sbin and no dir/or anything with the name kernel-power-settings in /usr/share/
I did all these frm x-term only. Am I missing anything here? thanks

EDIT: soo sorry the same thing is discussed in another thread heading there

minor update
kernel-power (2.6.28-maemo25) fremantle; urgency=low

* control: new bugtracker, fix builddeps, set display name, mention reboot
* added ondemand-avoid patches by Matan Ziv-Av
* avoid frequency 125Mhz by default, change back 124999->125000

frequencies can now be disabled:
Code:
echo 125000 250000 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/ondemand/avoid_frequencies

Just updated from your maemo21 ULV kernel to kernel-power (maemo25). Everything works like a charm.

Thanks as always for all your efforts. You've doubled the value of countless devices!
