when i typed the codes in it said " -sh: sort-r-n: not found" ....

sort -n -r
the empty spaces inbetween are important as the are options for sort indicated by the minus .

hey sorry but when i put it in that format i got no output........thanks for being patient though.... im a noob.... i put " dulsort -r -n >diskusage.txt"

well i tried and reaarranged it and it outputed " r: No such file or directory"

I must admit, this linux is confusing and frustrating in the beginning.

Try to copy and paste the command like explained here http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...5&postcount=31

The command is a combination of three command, there is no small 'L' in it, but a pipe'|’ ,which i only find on the extra tab of the onscreen keyboard not on the hardware keyboard.

hey thanx for all ur help michaa62 and ossipena but i hard reset and device n reflashed the emmc and firmware and everything is good again... but thanks again for your support .
