I uninstalled skippy. I don't see the benefit of having both on and really I think there would be a conflict. I don't think it a good idea to have skippy activate by clicking on the screen.

Do you know if 'gestures' are supported in telescope? I would personally like to launch the telescope app manager via a gesture on the desktop screen for instance.

Btw, telescope is really looking fantastic. Switching between apps has never been this easy (and 'fun'). Very fast as well.

EDIT: I'm trying to get the 'gesture' option resolved by using wayV.

Feature Request :
When launching an app from the app manager and closing the app (when in it) - return to the app manager screen instead of going to the app run before the one you closed. Maybe as an option.

There is no any benifit in running them both, because they are doing the same thing. It will just double amount of memory needed May be skippy-xd is more functional now, it can run apps by pressing keys and tapping corners, but we are going to support this functionality

Currently, telescope appears only by clicking upper hardware key. But if you like some another way to launch it - we can implement it (if possible ).

We have a huge planned features list and it's keep growing! I will investigate how i can implement guesture support. Thanks for request.

Thanks! We are working hard to keep it fast.

Got the idea. But what should happen if i start the application, then switch to another, then back to first one, and then close it? What should appear? Telescope or second application? I need to clarify the idea in order to implement it.

It's such a good idea! Thanks!

a) Click empty space on the desktop (may not be for everyone so maybe as an optional thing),
b) Create an applet that you can have on your desktop and click on in order to launch the app manager,
c) Have a configuration setting where you can indicate what area x,y-grid that you click on on the desktop in order to launch the app manager (could maybe be achieved by having the 'applet' in 'b' above sizeable by the user and made transparent/invisible but still active even if another applet it ontop of it,
d) gesture on desktop to start app manager,
e) pre-defined areas like lower-right corner to launch the app manager.

Those four options are all I can think of.

I see what you mean. I think the rule could be as simple as
"IF Application X is launched from App Manager and Closed THEN return to App Manager".
If there are apps launched after App X then just let the default OS handing take over and determine what app to go to.

And. Telescope made it to my 'Top 15 apps' in my sig :-)

Feature request 2:

If you have seen the Firefox/chrome extension "SpeedDial" you might know what I mean with this.

I would love for Telescope to - in addition to being an app manager for active apps - also being a way to launch your favorite apps.

The way it COULD work would be something like this:

a) Get to the 'favorite' app list by double-clicking the hardware key, or by clicking an option icon made available on the regular telescope application manager screen,

b) The 'favorite list' would have the same nice thumbnail layout as app manager - but now made up of non-active application. You could either a) define what applications should be in the list, or
b) let it be determined based on how often an application is run.

The thumbnails for these favorites should be able to be dragged around/arranged - and 'locked' into a position you chose.

You should also be able to add favorite web-pages here. Maybe have 'most visited' web pages automatically appear on the lower 'rows' and they could then be 'locked in', arranged, etc as well just as the applications.

Then slap a nice user interface row on top showing a clock/date and a switch between the app manager and the favorite manager - and I'd be good to go

I created a new thread focused on Telescope as it felt we were sort of hijacking this Skippy-thread

You will able to configure the decorator as soon as Telescope will not use the images to draw decorator.

By installing the theme i am creating. But its not ready to use right now.
Hey Kroll! Any further with the Maemo 5 Theme?
