Hi, i am visiting a website and downloading an mp3 file. If I do it on my PC and transfer the file to my Nokia 770 via USB, it plays perfectly. If I browse the internet on the 770 and download the exact same file for some reason it is saved as an .m3u file which the audio player on the 770 refuses to play (Something to do with an invalid playlist format). I want to be able to download the file on the 770 and save it as an mp3, is this possible?.

Many thanks in advance.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M3U

An M3U file is a plain text file that contains the locations of one or more media files that the mediaplayer should play.

Thanks, but that doesnt really answer the question at all!!! When browsing from the 770, and clicking on an mp3 file on a website, why would it save it as an m3u. What i dont understand is that it goes through the whole process of downloading the full 23Mb mp3 file (about 4-5 minutes) but when i browse to the file on the local device all i get is a 1Kb m3u file. Very strange.

I am having a similar problem.

I have an HFS (HTTP file server) set up on my PC so I can access stuff from work.

When at work, I can log in to the webpage and download video and MP3 files no problem. When I try to do the same from the 770, I get a 1k file. The file transfer dialog box reports the correct file size but only 1k is ever downloaded.
