don't be so surprised.
Somebody removed "donate" buttons from all my threads, so people do not know that donations are possible.
I'm fine with that, but i don't like the fact i wasn't informed about someone editing my posts.
I guess i should follow many of maemo.org oldtimers lead and drop the talk.maemo.org at all. On my blag i can do whatever i want.

Not that I am against donating, I will do in good time when I can afford to do so (in the meantime I donate my time to update the wiki). But I think you should not be encouraging people in this way, you imply that if more people donate it will get done quicker which I do not believe is the case. Smoku is already going as fast as possible and that wont get any quicker no matter how many people donate. Its just a matter of time, tweaking all that can be tweaked until its running well enough to devote some time to the GUI development.

Well I know I wont get perfect 60Hz, seeing as I am running it in PAL.

So by all means encourage donations, but please do not imply that it will make things happen quicker or better. If loads of people donate but then expect everything to happen magically without helping in bug testing, things could actually go slower.
