Hi, I damaged my N97 mini (which I loved), so I took the opportunity to upgrade to a N900. So far it has caused me nothing but difficulty wont sync properly with PC Suite or OVI music. I imported my music files - using the mass storage option. I have managed to change the phones ringtone to one of my uploaded MP3 files, but Im unable to change the SMS alert to one of my uploaded MP3 tracks. When I try to change the tone, the warning appears " Unsupported file format or corrupted file". Can anyone help with this problem?

What happens if you try to use the same .mp3 file as a calling ringtone, as opposed to an SMS tone - same error message or does it work? I'm just trying to work out if it's something wrong with the .mp3 file itself, or something specific to selecting it as an SMS tone.

Same MP3 will not load as SMS ringtone.
