That previewer's credibility is widely disputed because he doesn't state what hardware and software revision he is using.

If you scroll up a bit in this topic you can see a poster stating features including alarm tone.

The native calendar doesn't seem to support that. But it's easy to install another calendar application (e.g. GPE)

Of course, the calendar supports alarms. And you can change the default sound. It supports mp3 too.

yes i mean an alarm for each entry arriving to its time.

rdv or anyone else who's having trouble importing iCal .ics files to the N900 calendar: the alternative GPE Calendar app handles the import fine. I have instructions for using GPE Calendar as a clean-up converter on my blog.
