Is it possible to switch pulseaudio sink over tcp to pa in a newer ubuntu? i will be insanely happy then

i tried some magick with pactl and other console utils but haven't succeeded.

It theoretically should be possible. I haven't tried it from an actual device, but I've set up my Maemo programming environment to act similarly.

It seems that there is a bug in Pulse Audio that prevents the version shipped on the N900 from communicating with newer version, such as the one shipping in Ubuntu.

I don't know how one would resolve that on a device or in Ubuntu in a sane way, though.

I am very interested in this too, i have pulse audio running on a pc connected to some good speakers, and i want to be able to use pulse-audio to play music from the n900 though the PC.

The closest people have got seems to be this:

But following the brief snippets, i was unable to get this to work for myself
