in extras devil, i found the following:
1- Frementale extras
2- Diablo extras
3- Gregale extras
4- Chinook Extras
5- Bora Extras
6- Scirocco Extras
7- Mistral Extras

Please advice what are these? is it applications? if yes, what does it do?

Extras-devel is a repository for software used by developers whilst they are testing their own packages.
All of those that you've listed are also repositories, like extras-devel, but are just the generic extras repositories, so things should have gone through QA to get there.
Fremantle extras is the extras repository for Maemo5
Diablo - Maemo4.1
Chinook - Maemo4
etc etc

You don't want any of those other than Fremantle extras in your n900 repository list, or you'll be trying to add old software to your n900.

how can I download applications from extras devil, frementale?

Please heed the warnings. And it's extras-devel as in development. It's where the programs that are still under development are. So be very careful with those. They might do bad things to your device.

@ali.harmouch - take it from someone who's been there and had their phone f'd up - don't install from devel unless you're clear on what you're doing.

devil is not a Freudian slip!
