I cross-build the kernel following the link http://wiki.maemo.org/Documentation/...o_Kernel_Guide. And I got a zImage.

I try to boot by qemu

$ qemu-system-arm -kernel zImage

But qemu just show an empty window.

Did you bother to Google? Look at kernel flags at this page:

http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Archit.../ARM/HowToQemu

You need to do more than just compile and run.
