The cellular modem chipset might have some intelligence to detect timestamps on the firmware and never allow a downgrade. I tried the --cmt-no-verify flag and it didn't do anything. I've tried everything short of hex editing the old cmt file to make it appear newer to the phone (if that's even possible). I tested incoming/outgoing calls, sms, data and all work with the 1.2 file. IMO it's low risk compared to running on a full leaked 1.2 rootfs and all.

Instead of the attacks, why not ask better questions, allow time for better observations and above all, start reporting of bugs, quirks and/or problems... that should be done instead of just stating how foolish people were to have flashed their devices - stupider things have been done in the name of gadget lust.

Regardless... why not treat this as a glimpse of what's to come, what's being worked on still and what needs to happen before PR1.2 comes out instead of the constant finger-wag by some of the members. That's getting boring.

Imagine if something was actually overlooked. Looking at what was included and fixed in PR1.2, it reads like a bunch of stuff requested from these boards as well as what's been reported.

Last I checked, that would be a good thing. Guess turning this shitstorm into something positive is just above some folks.

Keep complaining then... carry on.
