No all emails are saves in that file. if you have allot of emails with attachments you very soon reach the 120 MB. I always move the email to the archive map on the SD card. this keeps the email app smooth and my backup files small

Mine is around 9MB. If you want to know what makes it big, you can just have a look at the backup-files.

@vir3us:
Maybe a poll here would be nice, so the size could be visualised. Options could be like this:

'Size of backup is':
- up to 5 MB
- up tp 10 MB
- up to 20 MB
- up to 40 MB
- up to 80 MB
- over 80 MB

Just a proposal, whatever you think will be fine

Best regards,
Corwin

Mine has steadily increased from about 7Mb and upto 16Mb now.

What id expect with the increase in messages etc.....

How are some of you getting 100+Mb - what you got on there!?

As mentioned by Corwin to take a look at the backup file, i did that and saw that comm_and_cal is using 7.3Mb and all the rest are only Kb's.

The whole backup directory is only 8.1Mb, so why does the n900 report it as a 16Mb backup - is that the extracted size?
