They'll be fixed when "step 5 of 5" is released. According to Nokia, the N900 is "step 4 of 5", but somehow I don't think they're quite ready to ship "step 5" yet. First I think we'll see step 4.5, then step 4.9, step 4.95, step 4.99, step 4.995, step 4.999 ... and then everyone will have forgotten about the original five-step plan and will be thinking about other things.

Seriously, besides the mediaplayer widget that is rather an inconvenience but still can launch the music player and make itself useful, I just can't remember any bugs and I don't encounter any in my day-to-day usage.

This is my 6th month with the N900 and so far I haven't encountered any blocker of any kind - but maybe that's just the way I'm using it...

... btw, I hear everyone complaining about the MP widget. I cannot get it to misbehave. What's the problem with this widget?

A poor workman always blames his tools as is the case with this poster. The reason that the N900 is the ultimate device is that under the hood there is so much potential. The command line can acheive things which would take a few months for developers to release with a nice button which does the same thing that has always been possible on the command line from day one!

clearly the op is deluded if he thinks no other software comes with bugs - the n900 is one hell of a complicated device and its simply not possible to test ALL things, if they did try we would get an update only once every 3 years!

Media Player? is just bugful software made by bugs.

Camera is bugful, everything is sooo full of bug.

Conversation app, there's another bug. I don't care if bugs don't really matter, but I, AT LEAST, don't want my phone to make me mad.

seriously, now, N900 is making me getting crazy. There, I have incoming sms, I open my phone, and try to press "multitask button" and it displays drop-down manu.

ahhh!!! I HOPE THESE ALL FIXED WITH PR 2.2 (right?)

With a full awareness that I am feeding a troll: Your post has more bugs than the Maemo had since its conception.

OP, I could have warned you before you posted. The N900 folks really, really, really, really don't like any criticism of their device.

Here's the format you should use when you post on TMO:

"The N900 is so awesome/top-notch/overpowering. Nothing is wrong with the N900 because it is the most beautiful/powerful/geeky device in the world. It is made from Unicorn horn, and that's what gives it its perfection"

Feel free to insert any other suitable adjectives, as long as they fit the general trend.
