Any updates on when App Wizard apps will be able to work on Maemo? Will they be Qt apps?

I dont think web runtime apps will ever be supported on maemo. I might be wrong but I remember that being said at some point.

I agree...

And plus, it is much better than thousands of fart apps that populated iTunes for far too long.

Another point is that if it would have been made by Apple would be "magical", "revolutionary", "amazing", "why cant nokia come up with this?", "nokia is soooo far behind".
