Can anyone advise me, what file/folder location the contact list/address book is please? Im using WinSCP but im still not used to navigating my way around the system yet.

I have done a restore from a backup, (that I've used before) but for some reason I've now lost my entire address book with 250+ names, numbers, emails and social messaging names. If I can locate the file manually Im hoping I can restore it manually.

Any help appreciated.

Im not too sure, but everytime I've ever done a restore, my contacts have always been there. But just so I can go have a look, does anyone know where the contacts are kept?

I think, its this file /home/user/.osso-abook-backup/db/addressbook.db

Do a more on this and you will see your contacts.

Sorry, The one which I gave you earlier is a backup directory. The files in there are created when you take the last backup from "Backup" utility.

If you are looking for the latest entries from your phone book. they are all
there inside /home/user/.osso-abook/db directory.

Are you restoring using the "Backup" utility ?
If you have more than one backup, try to restore from other date back ? Does it still give incorrect format ?

Ive tried restoring from backup, but that doesnt work, and then I tried going into contact settings, and import contacts and then tried locating the folder which I copied back into MyDocs as normal N900 folder navigation doesnt allow you into system folders

The bizzare thing is, everyone I've had conversations with still has the name and number associated with them in the text, but the contact list is just blank.....
