I get the feeling that after PR1.2 we'll be seeing many updates in other programs. So for me, the main excitement is not so much PR1.2, it's what will not happen until AFTER PR1.2.
You are absolutely right about the SW development and APPs launch, maybe even Ovi Store finally gets out of Beta and accept Paid applications. But besides development the N900 users/enthusiasts like me and many other on this forum can stop focusing on PR1.2 FW update and back to try applications and enjoy better our devices!!! Unless we start to discuss PR1.3 release instead...

No, after getting a new version of the update software, it says I have the latest version of the actual N900 software. Too bad -- I was hoping that this new thread would also debut THE REAL THING! No such luck.

Great! But how long this Nokia Software Updater takes to update?
The new downloaded version has now 1312 MB and still downloading. Should I wait to finish or should press Cancel????

Yes, absolutely. We never employ any logic or reason whatsoever. Instead, we are part of a grand Machiavellian conspiracy called the Executors of Hyperbole that randomly and wantonly edit, rename and move threads as we please. This is actually a subset of a larger conspiracy called Universal Joy Killers of Doom designed to create noise on the interwebs and screw with Google Analytics (tm). Once our evil plan is complete, Smurfs will be the number one internet meme and all Paypal transactions will be routed to a special account in the Cayman Islands.

Curse your keen eye for exposing us.

Mine was 35 megs.

And it was just that, an update to NSU, unfortunately nothing afterwards on new firmware.

At least when PR1.2 gets available one day we could have a good surprise like Ovi Maps voice navigation for example... The leaked version didn't have it, but apparently it was more than 1 month old, so if the Ovi Maps team was about to finish the N900 version they could include in the final release...

Can anyone enumerate what they expect the real PR1.2 will have that the leaked version didn't have? (I know, a lot of this information is out there somewhere, but I am hoping that this thread will have a more distilled version of this information.)
