My update interval is set to 1 hour so I cant comment on that yet and yes I did manual a refresh

you can change that. go to the screen that has all your accounts the tap the "e-mail" at the top bar and tap settings ... scroll down and it lets you select update automatically, and set the intervals for updates. I set mine to 30mins interval and auto update on any connection automatically

also everytime i manually refresh, inbox always shows '1 new message' but when i open inbox theres none?
it has always done this.
if i do have 1 email, inbox shows as '2 new messages'
ect... ect... ect...
o2mail is always perfect though so i use that instead

that happens to me too. It turns out that there was one unread mail that is buried in my inbox somewhere and i couldn't get rid of it until i marked as read. Idk about your situation thought. I find the email on n900 is helpful to me

no mate you dont understand!
ovbiously i already have it set like that or o2 wouldnt auto update!,
o2mail updates fine, but ovi NEVER does, thats final! there is no fix! ive lived with it since i got the phone, it aint a problem to me, im just sharing my knowledge on the subject, thanks for trying to help tho bro!
