that is because the cpufreq ui uses libs that is available on pr1.2, what you need to do is go to garage.maemo.org and type on the search bar "cpufrequi" click the app and then download.
EDIT: even without the cpufrequi, youl can still overclock your device (on your own risk). its just for monitoring possible cpu temp.
you can also monitor cpu temp by:
-open xterm
-sudo gainroot (rootsh must be installed)
-cat /sys/devices/platform/omap34xx_temp/temp1_input

many thanks for the help, i am a bit of a newb with all the xterm stuff so how do i install the .deb for cpufrequi?
also i know its off topic but how can i free up space on rootfs? conky is showing only 20mib free
