yes that is correct

regarding that, when i recently install the kernel-flasher-maemo (maemo24) it says on the description that "enhance-kernel-for-power-users (maemo25) is included in the packages to be installed. i believe there is already maemo26, cant find it, if there is

how do i switch back to nokia standard kernel
This is correct but you will not switch back to stock kernel after boot.. just the same values (i.e. 600mhz). To swtich back to stock kernel you need to in terminal as root:

apt-get install --reinstall kernel kernel-flasher

I would also advice you too read the overcklocking wiki and this post by Titan. This overclocking thing is purely for power users and could be a bit tricky for someone not familiar with linux. Also a new kernel-power-settings have been released which have altered the way how to setup the overclocking.

Now you need to:
1. kernel-config show (to see your setting)
2. kernel-config save mydefault (to make the settings-file)
4. leafpad /home/user/.kernel/mydefault (open the file)
5. edit the settings for your likening..
6. kernel-config setdefault mydefault (make it default)

When reboot it will go back to the mydefault settings always. And do not make this settings unstable. Keep them in range.

to make a testing file you could.
1. kernel-config save mytesting
2. leafpad /home/user/.kernel/mytesting (edit the file)
3. kernel-config load mytesting

Now if it reboot it will go back to mydefault if mytesting fails.

You could also chose other presetings like the lv/ulv/xlv/ideal if you like but that you set up a little bit different from the above.

To see the kernel-config options you just write kernel-config without anything els in terminal.

Guys, i'm a total newbie to Linux and it's nice to see all these freaks on here but I am also a WM person. I overclocked mine via a 900mhz fiasco kernel and i simply went into app manager to download the kernel-power-settings and after reboot, it went into the white nokia logo looping process. So I went into an XP machine to reflash another zImage900mhz via USB (thank goodness). But i was wondering what is the difference everyone's talking about Titan's and Lehto's kernels. Whose do i have? This overclocking and LInux is getting really confusing especially with all the different pages we have to go through and seems like it's more confusing for newbies like me. Anyways, as long as the people are friendly i'm willing to give it some time

Thanks guys in advance.

Check out my guide in sig. It should be fairly up to date. I haven't updated the new kernel settings scripts but even without it, my steps should work just fine. I recommend titan's as it has a few failsafe features in place. Also, it's more customizable when needed.

Guys thanks for the support and really appreciate it. I got abit frustrated when I see all those "command" I was never a DOS/Command type person. Everything was GUI/WYSIWYG that I know (next to some MS registry editting, etc). I have no idea whose 900MHz kernel I'm on but would definitely want to try out that Titan Ideal Kernel. Would I have to downclock it back to standard 600Mhz first before doing anything? I have done a backup (3.1MB only) just in case I lose my bookmarks, etc. I still haven't learned how to use the application catalogues. Oh i'm in HK's supposingly PR1.2 if that has any warnings/beware ofs if you are wondering...reading up on the guide from Jakiman now.

Thanks again.

Guys i'm stuck on : - Both first timers and the experienced, I now recommend using Titan's latest custom kernel which can be simply installed from the application manager (HAM). It is called Enhanced Linux kernel for Power users 2.6.28-maemo25. (as of my last post update)

I don't see it under anywhere. Where would it be?

My battery only lasts about a day when not in much use :f Ive OC'd to titans ideal (850mhz) My OC resets always when I reboot, when I apply the OC again does the voltage setting also get enabled?

You could check it by writing in the terminal

Code:
cat /sys/power/vdd1_opps_vsel
If it concurs with your setting then it is set

Edit: Ohh.. and you could also use:

Code:
kernel-config show
