I am not able to connect my Plantronics 260 with N900. The phone gives notice "Can not connect to Plantronics 260". Headset and phone are paired successfully. On the phone there is an icon with headset on top status bar, but no sound is coming through earpieces. Anyone with solution to such problem?

Can someone post a step by step guide to pair my Plantronics? Its pretty simple on Linux, but I couldn't figure out how to do it with my N900.

I turn on bluetooth, set it to new device, turn the headset on... I can't see it!

Any hints?

Hi guys,

I got a serious problem with my new DELL BH200 bluetooth head set!!!

Its works perfectly fine once paired. . . i can hear music but as soon as the phone activates i.e. i get or make a call the headset stops giving audio feedbak n disconnects after a few seconds!!!!.

This problem does not occur with other hand sets, ive paired it with the n96 , 6303, etc n its works perfectly. .

i even tried using the n900 with another bluetooth device(nokia make) n it works perfectly with my n900. . .

I ve tried flashing the entire phone but even a freshly flashed phone gives the same screw up!!!!

Can some one plz help me with this issue??

i only cant recieve n make calls with the dell bh200. . . the moment i try it goes blank. . . Is there any way of manually configuring this device using code in x term??

Thanks in advance. . .

Any help is appreciated!!!!

I don't think there's a solution to the problem at the moment. My Nokia BH-804 (which is advertised with N900) doesn't work either. I can connect it to the N900, but after a while it get's disconnected. The headset shows disconnection, but the N900 doesn't. It still thinks it's connected.

I got my N900 when it was released and I heard the problem was supposed to fixed in the next firmware update (which would have been 1.0.1 at the moment). We're now at version 1.1.1 and still no fix. So, I've pretty much lost hope for ever getting a fix for this.

Nokia either has a hardware problem or they just don't know how to fix it or they don't care. My guess is all the mentioned reasons.

My N900 will connect to my Nokia Bluetooth cark kit CK-300, allow me to make calls, etc.

The problem comes when I disconnect the phone from the car kit. After this the N900 ear piece is inoperable so I cannot hear anyone on the other end when I make or receive a call. The phone is very slow after disconnection from the car kit as well.

Also I get the "Unable to play media. Audio in use by another application." message when I try to play music after disconnection from the car kit.

I can solve the problem by restarting the phone, but this solution isnt acceptable.

If anyone has comments on this please let me know. This, together with the inability to use most of the PC suite functionality has driven me to get a N97 mini. However its no way as good as the N900, but it is excellent at doing the things that are important.

If no solution comes along to allow me to use the N900 in the next 7 days I will sell it. Maybe in a few months the problems will get sorted out and a N900 will be useful to me again.

I hope there is a fix as I want to keep my N900 really.

A 7 day Ultimatum. That's Hilarious. You haven't been around here very long have you?

This Platform has all but been officially abandoned by Nokia. There hopefully will be another software update, but WHO knows when that will come. That will I'm sure be the last fix for much of anything. If we ever get it.

To help you make your decision a little quicker you should read the post about the USB port pulling off the Motherboard, that thread is a hoot!

I have the same issues with my BT sets. They works well with my old phones. Mainly disconnecting every 5 or 10 minutes.

5 days now and counting. Fix it Nokia or the N900 is history! lol. Seriously though these problems seem to taking ages to fix. I have had the N900 for three months and I think its leaps and bounds ahead of its symbian counterparts on certain aspects. If only Nokia had integrated the basics (like decent bluetooth connectivity) into Maemo before putting on the bells and whistles.

Unfortunately the bluetooth problems has rendered it less useful than my N97.

I can not imagine that the platform has been abandoned by Nokia, the N900 is selling too well. Users will complain and Nokia will have to do something about it. On that point (of getting the message across to Nokia), do you have any suggestions on how to put consumer pressure on Nokia to work these problems out? Also if these problems are being addresses by Nokia then where would the lowly customer expect to see progress on them? I may keep the N900 if I knew these problems were being looked at and there was a timescale for the fix.

If the USB port broke on my N900 I would be over to the service centre to demand a fix or replacement. Nokia would be wrong assuming that everyone with this problem was being unduly rough with the USB port.

I have a problem with Motorola S305. Whenever I turn on the headset the phone crashes. I send an email support to Nokia and here is what I got for a respond.

Hi can,

Thank you for e-mailing the Nokia Care Contact Center.

Based on your concern, we recommend using only nokia accessories for the N900 so as to prevent any compatibility issues that may occur.

I hope the information provided proves useful.

Problem diverted! Not fixed but after reading another thread about WiFi and bluetooth incompatibility I made some alterations.

If I disable WiFi before I connect to to my bluetooth ck-300 car kit then I do not have to restart after disconnecting. I can hear calls and the music player works.

I downloaded "WiFi Switcher" which quickly allows me to turn WiFi on and off.
