Mm..

Trying to add some games but somehow I can't edit the conf file!
I find it when using the file:/// method in the browser!

Is there a way to change the config so I can add the following games.

Currently, you have to be root (sudo gainroot) to edit the config file (vi /usr/share/flashlauncher/applications.conf), but the next version will support multiple config files, and the recommended way will be putting local config files into the /home/user/.config/flashlauncher dir.

EDIT: after pondering on this a bit, I introduced an option in the main menu which says ’Add game manually’ which will open a dialog where you can enter this data in a civilized manner and it will generate the approriate config section itself.

EDIT2: Maybe it would be cool if we could interface locally added games with the ’share’ interface (share via email, BT, facebook, etc), but I’m not sure what exactly should the content be so flashlauncher on the other side could pick it up...

It would be nice if you could select to save downloaded flash games permanently so that you can play them offline later.

The problem with saving the game is that flashlauncher has no way of knowing what additional resources from the network the original swf might need. However, Flashlaucher COULD be enabled to use a disk-based caching mechanism (I think this actually might be a better solution as it solves the above problem transparently and requires no user interaction).

Using experimental version. N900 @ 850Mhrz. PR.1.1

Cant scroll game list properly.
Blokerz crashed after first level. incl if you die to.
Learn to fly freezes several seconds (5-10) seconds at a time ingame.
Also blokerz caused a loop on closing, so had to reboot.

Other games seems to work flawlesly

Not sure if it is legal... I spent about two solid days (within two weeks) mining for fun (to me) games that actually work well on the N900. About 450 megs in total size. Not complaining about the two days, since it was fun testing things out.

Of all the tests I did (about 500) I never had a device lock-up,but one game did stay locked in the background and forced the browser ans ulse audio to hang and at over 80% cpu total.

800mhz clock helps out- bunches in regards to performance.

Sounds good to me We need everything we can get, considering the N900 has been dissed from Flash 10.1.

My Incredible is nice, but not at all with Flash games (only a few work ATM with touch only). Still have a few weeks- may return it for a Droid.

Even listing game/file names that work well with the N900 would be of great help (for FlashLauncher).

Other then that I guess its kinda trail and error and then make a list!
Btw I love the idea of the option to add a game from flashlauncher itsself!

New version in extras-devel, with lots of new UI functionality in the menus. Has still a good deal of 'known issues' so no need to report bugs, this is still work in progress. I guess the most important new functionality is to add games manually (i.e. no conf file fiddling required).
