SOOOOO WHAT .. get a freeking life and move on.. and use this forum for the real problems regards the official firmware and the stock phone..

If you use the leaked firmware and you overclock the n900 then you must have some sort of understanding about the phone arcitecture so you know what to do when shi... happens. there are a gassilion threads in here that points to how you boot and flash the freak... phone SO SEARCH before posting.. sorry for the language i just got so tired of reading this thread and having a bad day LOL
I am sorry to say this.. but this is a community based forum for all that comes with Maemo. If you want the official forum. Go to Nokias.

If someone have problems with reflashing.. this is the right place to be.

I think I joined the thread a bit late..

f2thak: FLASH THE OS BACK TO PR1.1.1.. THEN FLASH THE EMMC

If PR1.2 has wrecked itself on your phone..accept it.. go back to PR1.1.1 and get yourself sorted.. When you've got your phone working on PR1.1.1 maybe you can think about trying PR1.2 again..

I recon the reason you can't flash the emmc is because you haven't flashed the PR1.1.1 os image.. Do that.. then flash the emmc

I hope you get the n900 working again, or if you have then congrats! ( I couldn't be bothered reading up on the last 12 pages here)
this was bound to happen sooner or later. Im glad I didn't overclock it as eventually that will just screw up the hardware and make it useless, unless you have sold it by that time then your lucky. Too big a risk to take.
As for the leaked fw, I wouldn't install any leaked fw that isnt complete despite what people say.
Hopefully the real thing will be out soon (fingers crossed)

I believe it was intentionally leaked. Nokia seem to have a hard time testing it and it is taking ages too. So why not leak it, have users install it (at their own risk (and without Nokia's knowledge)), post problems here, look at maemo.org for complaints, fix them, release official PR1.2.

I may be wrong but I really do believe that you are being used as BETA testers.
I seriously doubt they would leak it without any official bug reporting process set up. A bunch of people complaining in a forum is basically useless data.

What if you had bricked your device and Nokia had released the buggy firmware resulting inthe bricking? It would be Nokia's fault. However this way it'd be your fault and not Nokia's. I don't really believe that Nokia did this..but they might have. Who knows?

if you are having problems flashing under windows, try flashing it with a linux system. i had some troubles flashing my n900 through windows at work, at home on my linux box it went flawless.

Out of curiosity, to the OP:

It sounds like you got PR 1.1.1 back on and the only thing not working is the phone. Have you tried using another sim card? It could be the one you have is PUKed or what not. Just an idea.
