i got my n900 four months before and was enjoying it a lot. but suddenly today morning i experienced a strange problem. my n900 screen stops responding to the touch. i removed the screen protector but no use then i reflash my device but failed. can any one help me with a good idea how to fix this problem

The worst case scenario you need a new digitizer for your screen, and to get that you need to send it to the repair shop.

This can happen to any touchscreen, its not something we should kill Nokia for.

i am facing a strange problem my n900 screen is not responding without screen protector. when i remove my screen protector the screen is not responding. but when i apply the screen protector the screen is ok. what might be the problem please help

hi
so the only solution for this dead screen is to get it repaired from nokia. did you got it repaired or you managed to solve the problem by your side.
please inform me

Hi,

It at Nokia right now since their service partner could not make it.
I have not received my device so far. They told me 12-18 working days so I might get it around May 25th. Problem is that I can not reconstruct all my contacts from my n900 backup into my old n95 and that really sucks since the n900 is my work device

Do you think that a resistive screen can lose some of it's responsiveness after some time? I've had my n900 for 7 months now and i feel that my screen isn't as touch sensitive as it used to be. Especially at the corners of the screen where the problem is more apparent.
