Hi N900 Users,

did someone experience the same issues like I did explained below:

Sometimes the GUI freezes, well, how should I explain it... I can do everything except clicking on icons and widget on the Desktop. BUT, after a period of time ALL my clicks are executed. So suddenly every application I clicked on opens.

Second annoying thing I observed is the fact, that applications do not respond despite the icon (or close, minimize, whatever button) gets highlighted. For example clicking on the close "X" Symbol gives me the visual feedback that is has been activated, but the application does not close.

Is there a minimum push time to activate a button? Like push it for 2ms only highlights it but does not execute the command behind the button. Pushing the button for 10ms finally does what I expect.

So am I just to fast? And if this is the case, is there a way to adjust the "timeout"?

Cheers
Bjoern

how odd. I have just started experiencing this as well. It first happened 2 days ago and I noticed that the calendar wouldn't open when I was clicking on the widget and it has just happened again about 5 minutes ago. I tried to open and app but nothing was happening on any icon. It was as if the whole screen becomes unresponsive.

Perhaps we can work this out by finding recently installed apps. What have you installed these last few days?

I have just started uninstalling some recent apps in case one of them is to blame. I took off the autolock app, world clock widget and some others which I'm pretty sure have not caused the issue.

I've been experiencing the same thing since 2 or 3 months. It just happens randomly, sometimes twice per day, sometimes once per week... Killing hildon-home through X-Terminal lets you get rid of the particular instance of the problem but it won't prevent it from happening again.
Don't really know what's been causing it since I couldn't be bothered to find out.

Well, it really seems to be random.

Is there straight forward method to find all the apps which are additional to the defaults?

I don't have to kill anything. I just have to wait a while (Minutes...) and then suddenly everything I clicked pops up. And I have to close each app I desperately clicked on.

The status applet and switching desktops works flawless, even the top left "Multi function button" works, I can go to the applications and start each application from there, but not from the Desktop.

But did anyone experience the other issue, when clicking a button really short, it gets highlighted but not executed.

Cheers

Yep got the same problem myself although selecting icons is a problem i can still scroll left and right to different screens so the touch screen is still responsive, a reboot solves it though.

Edit

Also has anyone experienced battery drain as well?

What happens when you click on multiple Icons, then go to the applications (via the top left multi purpose button) and start a application from there?

Do all apps you desperately clicked on on your Desktop suddenly start? Maybe wait for a few minutes... I never had to restart my device because of this.

I couldn't find one.
