Yeah someone should do a Program or a port.

I think a good way to do this would be to:

- Recieve your voice from the N900 (obviously)
- Add in the background music/instrumentals to your vocals via N900 (easy)
- Have a slideshow/video with the lyrics on the N900 screen
- Then have it connected to larger screens with TV-out and headset

Future additions:
- Add in options to change your voice to squickey, alien etc (plugin system)
- Add in the feature to only show lyrics video on TV-out so the N900 displays "Quick Options"
- Add in the feature to broadcast the resulting sound via the FM radio ... this also serves as a Megaphone (no pun intended) function

So obviously you'd be holding the N900 in your hand the way you do with a microphone

... so you should tweek the settings before the contest, but if you want to do some cool effects during the show , you need to move your mouth away to see the screen and press the desired Quick Option button if you don't know where it is placed it causes you to lose a few seconds of vocal time, but this is a trade-off worth doing!

I would be most happy to see port from:
http://performous.org/

combines Karaoke, Ultrastar(singstar clone), Frets on Fire (guitar hero clone) and a lot more.

The ultimate party tools.

I am not a programmer but am willing to help assisting on the graphic conversion parts if needed.

Why without Tune Wiki? It seems to me that's what you need, just choose the numbers carefully, on being well- timed in Tune wiki. I'm not a Karaoke fan at all though..

Tried TuneWiki?

Anyway, a CUE Sheet widget exists, thanks to rmoravcik.

not quite perfect but by using the convertor from www.cdg2vcd.com you can create karaoke videos which play on the N900 and then play them on a tv using tv out.

I would love to see ultrastar on N900 though...that would rock!

I think it would be nice with a karaokeapplication that can read cdg+mp3 from within the program. I have an ipod touch(gen 3)with that kind of app(karaoke anywhere). Unfortunately tv-out is only supported in 4:th gen ipod for the time being with that app and others.
Is it even possible on this device, anyone?
Thanks
