Hi All,

Has anyone taken their N900 apart?

Even better does anyone know if the slider/screen positioning can adjusted?

I recently had my touch screen and speaker replaced at a Nokia Repair Centre, since it was returned the speaker and touch screen are 100% better but now the phone has a slight indent (near the key board) and outdent (near the power button) between the slider and base of the phone... Any suggestions?

Cheers,

Dan

the slider og n900 sucks, if i were you i will send it back again, taking it apart especially when it involves taking off the screen from the base can seriously screw up your device.

Cheers m8,

I was kinda hoping that 2 of the 6 screws on the back might allow me to adjust the screen position without removing it though...

search disassembling n900 on youtube, that guy took the device apart and put it back together, the device was fine, but then he can afford to drop a 500gbp gadget on concrete ground, what risk cant he afford to take lol

he also made a video on fixing the slider problem(i think he fxxked his slider up by dropping it) , it was kinda silly the way he did it but apparently it worked.

p.s my slider is semi-fxxked up as well and itis annoying me like a granny driving in front of me when im on my way to a gig, i cant afford the time to take to to repair cuz it takes like a month, and i wanna sell it now and probably get a milestone.

I did watch a video of someone doing that on YouTube actually... I might give it a try...

Where do you live mate? If you live in East London / Essex, I can suggest a repair centre that has always done my phones while you wait... They're very good, even though my slider is a tiny bit out...
