I admit, Star Trek TNG is my one big "nerd" thing. Love the series and own all of it on DVD.

First season was sooo stupid I blew it off. But then-- they let Worf be Worf. Riker loosened up. And Data stepped up. Sheer magic the rest of the run.

I thought it was crap til the middle of season 3.. but when they dumped their initial writers (a lot were old school from the original series) and changed, it took off.
