Hi,

All of a sudden, the screen stopped responding my touch. I did reset, took out battery, nothing works.

I have notes in the App "conboy" that I really need, can someone tell me how I can open the app without the touch screen?

I would need to get those notes before sending it for warranty. Thanks

conboy notes are stored in /home/user/.conboy

You can open the app vis xterminal and typing conboy there. But dont think that will help as your touchscreen is not working.

You are a genius!!!
Here comes the solution!
Open the keyboard and type CTRL+SHIFT+X... This will open xterminal.
Now type cp .conboy MyDocs/conboy and if no error occurs, you can now pick the the saved file conboy directly from your pc using the N900 as mass storage.

I did not install SSH, whatever came with the N900.

I copied the files within the .conboy dir, to the document folder. If I copy it to an SD card, I should be able to open it on my Desktop PC, what program should I use?

I was able to launch ConBoy but I can not switch between notes using the keyboard.

Thanks for all your help. I took care of my N900, I am really disappointed. I can not answer an incoming phone call with my phone without.

My n900 is now on week 3 @Nokia for a repair since the touchscreen stopped responding and did`nt work. It happened when I woke due to the alarm ringing and vibrator was on as I did everyday since I received my device in the start of December 2009.

I woke up this morning and the alarm sounded and vibrated. I turned it off and I do not remember if I used the phone after that and before I discover that the touch screen stopped functioning. It takes so long for the turn around for service? This really sucks.

I never had a phone in my life that requires service within the first year. Nokia N900 is the first, I always though Nokia is about Quality, that was the reason I got this phone instead of Another Android phone.

I will do a complete backup and re-flash to see if the problem goes away or not.

Thanks for all your help.

When I connect the phone using the usb connection to my PC, since the touch screen does not work, I can not select the Mass storage mode or PC Suite mode. Is there anyway I can select the mode using the keyboard?

LOL this is getting funny and sad on my end. What do I need to do to get my the N900 to be available so I can make a copy of my files?
