The problem is in the software. It is difficult to set a date, or do similar menu interactions using the touch screen, Or update the phone using a Vista machine. The software needs refinement to work properly.
For you.

I'll feed the troll this time and say mine works properly.

Works fine on my Debian pc, Slackware pc, Gentoo pc, even my Win7 PC.

Aren't you trying to use Ovi Suite instead of PC Suite...? I know the issue is definitly on your side, but still you aren't making it easy to solve...

And no interaction with the N900 is actually pretty good ! You should try using some WM2003/5/6.1 and see how hard it is to press the small days/hours in the calendar :P

Well, you're not exactly going at it the best way if you alienate the only people on the internet that are trying to help, are you?

If you want to yell at nokia, go yell at nokia. We're all just like you - we're just helping each other to make our n900s work better.

You get that, right?

Btw.

Why you are flashing? Do you understand that flashing ANY device is IMO not everyday operation. Normally I would think that user who are not technically literated should take it to support if device is not working as expected.

Then again IF case happens to be that you have installed something from testing/devel repositories then you should not even ask what to do when sht hits the fan because you should know beforehand what to do before going to those repositories.

These problems have nothing to do with Vista - everything to do with the software that comes with the N900

A Nokia mobile phone. Nokia pc suite doesn't work on Windows Vista. What does that have to do with me?

Aside from being a victim of incompetence and neglect.
