And there's a field designed to give some info about changes (though it'd be really better if HAM could display debian/changelog after download, but I guess that won't happen)

Of course it can.

See http://wiki.maemo.org/Packaging#Maem...de_description

This is the field I was talking about in the *first* part of the sentence. In the second part, I meant the debian/changelog entry, which is *not* available in HAM.

For some packages it is displayed on maemo.org
http://maemo.org/packages/view/kernel-power-settings/
but I don't know why not for kernel-power-flasher.

I don't want to "pollute" the control file with changelogs for the broken HAM.

v32 is basically the same as v27, everything in between was broken.

XB-Maemo-Flags: reboot, system-update
Adding that to the control file should reboot the device after installation, and should make the app not removable in App Manager (mp-fremantle-generic-pr uses them)

a warm reboot is usually not sufficient to activate a new kernel.
AFAIK only a complete shutdown works. and I don't like forced reboots.
but I'll try the system-update flag. thanks

I agree. Please consider this a vote against forced reboots.

version 35 with minor PR1.2 updates is uploaded but autobuilder is currently broken
https://garage.maemo.org/builder/fre....6.28-maemo35/
let's wait and see.
The versions in extras and extras-testing should be compatible with PR1.2.
