I think you may be using V24 from Extras.

What do you get when you type
Code:
uname -r
in X-Terminal?

If you don't have maemo Extras among your catalogs, you can manually add it:

http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras

If you don't have maemo Extras devel among your catalogs, you can manually add it:

Application manager --> Application catalogs --> New
Catalog name: maemo extras-devel
Web address: http://repository.maemo.org/extras-devel/
Distribution: fremantle
Components: free non-free

same thing for non-free and extras-devel repo!
Should be
Code:
http://repository.maemo.org/extras-testing
Check http://wiki.maemo.org/Extras for full details

no no it's like this only
Code:
but the error code was in red at the bottom corner! i think now i solved it! i did not add fremantle in the Distribution field!

but it was working previously without the need to do that!

Thanks neotalk and Sash!

Hmm when i try the ideal i get unexpected reboot. I have been using Lehtos 950mhz for 3 months now.
What's the next step if ideal doesn't work?

And are Lehtos kernels working for PR1.2 btw?

sorry to repost but can anyone help me this------
here is my earlier post:

Hi folks,

Am a bit of a newbie when it comes to overclocking but i have have installed V28. Everything looks ok apart from when i reboot it goes back to orriginal settings. I have done the following:

installed pr 1.2 then installed the Enhanced Linux kernel for power users v2.6.28-maemo24.

then i installed rootsh opened x terminal and typed:

/usr/sbin/kernel-load /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ideal

then i typed:

rm -f /etc/default/kernel-power
ln -s /usr/share/kernel-power-settings/ideal /etc/default/kernel-power

all appeared to work but upon reboot it went back to 600mhz

i then tried the same as above and then also tried this command:

/usr/sbin/kernel-load

again all looked ok but on reboot it has gone back to 600mhz instead of the ideal 850mhz

can anyone help me please?

I tried this from jakimans guide:
sudo gainroot
kernel-config load ideal
kernel-config limits 250 750

Only thing i get is kernel-confic: not found
Im not sure if kernel-config works with lehtos kernel - actually, I think it only works with titans kernel ... package kernel-power ...

I installed package kernel-power-settings, and after restart, kernel-config works ...

When I upgraded from v34 to v37 using HAM, after reboot my phone would no longer boot up and I had to reflash the stock PR1.2 kernel. Just a heads up in case anyone else has similar problems.
