When the leaked version of PR1.2 was released, often when someone ran into, say, a reboot loop, a Simpsons cartoon with giant HaHa was posted and it was said that the user deserved the problem and that the leaked version was unsafe.

Now that the legit version is out there and even more reboot loops are being seen, why isn't anyone posting the HA HA cartoon and claiming that the release isn't safe?

Overall, I think the legit version IS safe, as was the leaked version, and neither of them deserved the attitude.

They are just angry fanboys

I respect some of them for their contribution and patience.

Those I don't respect will try to convince you that you didn't install it correctly and that you're too stupid for not figuring out that everything should/could be resolved with command lines and apt-get.

DUH!

HA HA

I think I'll wait a week when most of the problems with PR1.2 are known. Why hurry.

The reboot loop can be fixed by reflashing, if you got the leaked version back then there wasn't much you could do, hence the ha ha's to the people that couldn't wait.

So if the leaked version caused your device to go into a reboot loop it was impossible just to reflash? Are you sure?

You could reflash, but the process is no different from the method you used to obtain PR1.2 Leaked, in contrast with Updating over the air PR1.2 and if reboot loop, flash it.

The trouble was that there was no alternative official image to go back to (unless you were willing to sacrifice the phone functionality). Hence the 'oops'.

That, again, is simply not true. Do your research before answering please.

I do not entirely agree that posting images and making fun of people installing leaked/illegal version is right thing to do, but I do understand it.

If you have half brain you probably know that everything comes down to this:
IT could be COMPLETELY waste of time to try to help people who have installed OS that is not officially supported. TO fix or to be able to fix bugs or problems with computers we need usually good description and good knowledge of system. One most important thing is that system around problem is standardized.

Moreover before installation of power kernel or leaked fw i think that people with normal logical skills should understand that before doing it you should know how to go back. And most importantly be prepared for problems and when encountered search, search, try to fix, search more and report your findings and what you have done and what you suspect.

Now that the legit version is out there and even more reboot loops are being seen, why isn't anyone posting the HA HA cartoon and claiming that the release isn't safe?

Overall, I think the legit version IS safe, as was the leaked version, and neither of them deserved the attitude.
And I THINK that leaked version had some stability issues that were probably found out after running it for days or weeks with specific app installation.

It is half true, since you could go pack to PR1.1.1 but with PR1.2 CMT, which no one knew of the consequences, and if you will even be able to flash to the real PR1.2 once it comes.
For all I knew, the newer CMT was something written by a hacker and inserted into Leaked PR1.2.

I did install LPR1.2, but if I knew it writes data like that to a hardware component like the modem which would be irreversible, I would definitely NOT install it.

So you were stuck with half a leaked firmware even if you went back to PR1.1.1

Though I will don't appreciate any of the HA HAs.
