I had the same problem, just remove all applications larger than 1mb (or just all except Maemo 5 ofcourse) and it works, it's updating now.
Still thinks it's a flaw in Nokia's software it doesn't mention you need more memory on the device.

Are you being ironic? If so, then maybe you could share your tremendous expertise exactly on what the user should do and expect to get a clean upgrade of the 1.2 firmware.
And I prefer not using any command line flashers or strange workaround procedures. This should work using nokia's main upgrade software intended for any customer.

Ok, sorry then if I jumped you Tymo!
BTW, I have soon uninstalled nearly everything now, I have over 70MB of rootfs and still no go with the Nokia Software Updater.
This is just so lame. I am a software developer myself since over 20 years back, and rarely I've seen such badly tested, documented and supported device upgrade software like this.
