I am glad to see that Nokia is heading towards WiMAX, but I really feel that the NIT could appeal to many business users if it could be connected to a data projector for PowerPoint presentations. At a minimum, this would mean the USB port on the N800 would need to send out a signal to something like this external video card (http://www.usbgear.com/USB-Video-Card.html). Of course it would be great if a future NIT had video output built-in. There is also the matter of software. I realize that is asking a lot, but it would give business users a big reason to buy an internet tablet since the NIT can already do most of what they need on the road - check e-mail, browse, and use Skype. I would think that this would really expand the market for this product and make it a very serious business tool, especially if the product continues to sell in the sub-$400 price point.

So what do you all think? 1) Is this feasible? 2) Would this be a good direction to work towards?

We need a compatible free powerpoint-like application before to have a video output

I believe the Dell Projectors have a WIFI module that can be added to them. I know certain PocketPC's have the capabilty to send the display via WIF to Projector that has WIFI.

So I think all that would be needed is a program that can send the screen output via WIFI or Bluetooth in a format the the WIFI projectors can handle.

Again the above is just an Idea and I do not know of any programs for the N800 that can do this.

I'm not sure if Google Docs works in the N800 Web Browser, but if it does you could use Google Docs in the Web Browser, if you have an Internet wifi connection and you could put it to full screen.

In terms of output, it should be a simple matter of the right plug/cable. I know more than a handful of business users that already run presentations from either their Treos or iPods.

But of course, this is on the way, too. ;-)
