I tried making new threads on the issue but nobody seems to reply.
Stayed up all night to get this resolved.
Maybe it make more sense posting here...

My question is:

Someone said that I have to uninstall power kernel first if I use the OTC update to PR1.2.

So I don't have to do that if I use NSU?

What about the disclaimer of power kernel that says that NSU "become broken"?

So now I'm trying to uninstall the overclocked power kernel so I could update to PR1.2 OTC.

And I'm following the deinstallation instructions here

But when I enter the command apt-get install --reinstall -y kernel kernel-flasher

I get this error: E: You don't have enough free space in /var/cache/apt/archives/

I tryed uninstalling a bunch of apps to free up room but still no luck

Please someone help me. This is very frustrating.

there is no need to de-install if you just want to update through OTA!
i think you meant OTA and not OTC!

if it is the case, just do the update via OTA, no deinstallation etc!
just reinstall the kernel once you updated via OTA!

We already learned that OTA upgrades don't require uninstalling the kernel first.
For NSU it is also not necessary.
Where did you find a disclaimer about power kernel breaking NSU ???

getting enough free space for the upgrade may be quite difficult,
especially for non-experts. try the NSU or reflashing instead.

I updated via OTA to PR1.2 and upgraded to v37 after that. To Make the power-kernel work i just had to do a reboot and then type the to commands in xterm and i was up and running like before the PR update

The commands:

/usr/sbin/kernel-config load ideal

/usr/sbin/kernel-config limits 500 1000

Nice work Titan

WOW thanks for quick replies
I spent all night looking for help with deinstallation

the disclaimer section 2
I was afraid to connect the N900 to NSU because of that (didnt want bricking). I'm a bit of a noob as you can tell

I can't believe I've a headache right now for nothing! So relieved...

You can actually just type kernel-config load ideal with v37 (just omit /usr/sbin/).

Note ... it was possible with earlier versions too ...

It doesn't work for me without the /usr/sbin/...
In xterm:
~ $ kernel-config load ideal
-sh: kernel-config: not found
but with the /usr/sbin/* infront it loads
