If you enable extras-devel you can download an updated version of conversations widget that works with 1.2.

Then disable extras-devel to keep any unstable software of your phone!

How do I removed all the .db and db journal files from .rtcom-eventlogger? I have just got the N900 and I am not used to Maemo. Is this coding I have to do on the phone in xterminal or can you link the phone to a PC and do the removal from a file structure there?

can someone quickly outline the easiest way to backup critical data? a lot of it is media content and i want to focus on the important stuff (apps, contacts, conversations, settings)

the 'Nokia 900' partition that shows up in MSC doesnt contain rootfs, does it?

and im pretty sure the ovi suite backup is still useless for N900, right?

ive heard mixed opinions about the backup app installed on the phone, and that a manual backup is more complete

also, any other scripts to free up rootfs space?

conky says i have 227 mb in rootfs and it still gives me 'not enough memory in target location' error on 1.2 install. this is after uninstalling every package over 2MB and running apt-get clean

It can be done in xterminal.
Type:
Code:
cd ~
ls -la
cd .rtcom-eventlogger
mv *.db* ../

Fantastic. That worked perfectly. It even means that my call log is also re-established

i got into the same problem but my is kinda different. I followed the instruction above to remove .db file and rebooted the device, but i still could not restore my conversation. On the other hand, I reflashed my device to PR 1.1 and got my conversation back, then i update again to PR 1.2 and the same thing happened once again. I am lost, i have no idea what do to

Can you post the output of this command
Code:
cd ~
cd .rtcom-eventlogger
ls -l
And it may be important, that you don't open the conversation app
between removing db-files and restoring the backup.

I'm in the same situation. This problem happened to me during an earlier update as well. Never figured it out, only sw downgrade and then restoring the backup got my conversation history back. Highly annoying.
