I'll try to make that possible in the next version.

For those of you requesting changes in the webrequest plugin, I can now happily announce that the newest version includes a couple of default search engines and allows you to create your own custom searches.

I have also made a small update which does refocusing automatically. I would like to get some input on whether this works as expected or not. If it works successfully, I believe we could remove the "Refocus button" completely.

i love the auto focussing, it works like a charm. didn't check the webplugin yet.

The 'refocus' button ... it can be discarded !
I can see a good future for this app, think Meego etc.
thanks for the effort in getting it better and better.

I'm glad to hear that! Please keep us posted if any issues arise with the autofocus.

For me the new version doesn't really work - after showing the results, the refocus kicks in and brings back the camera window (though it says query results in the title and once I actually managed to see the result buttons before the switch), There is a StackingWindow back button on the top, but it closes the app instead.

Are you running version 0.1.9 of mbarcode? Version 0.1.8 had a bug causing the refocusing being called even after a barcode was found, and before clicking the 'Scan' button. This is fixed in the newest version.

I downloaded the latest release from the Extras-Devel repo and it worked pretty well for me. I tried to scan a few barcodes of things around the house and it was able to find most of them without issues.

Thanks for your work on this app, dragly. Looking forward to future releases.

I just updated to the newest version, thank you for the great work. Auto-focusing works like a charm, even if it's dark I'm able to read 1d and QR codes.

One thing that would be useful though is to save vcards created by Android phones (I think they're called mecards) and to export contacts as such (and/or standard vcards).
