No equalizer that I am aware of and many of us have asked...over and over again!
For the N900, I prefer symfoni over Mafw as Mafw use a lot of CPU, like surfing and listening to music will hiccup. and I am still tryin to figure out how to remove Mafw equalizer, apparantly flash will NOT remove it, interesting
And yes, Mafw equalizer does make a difference in music enjoyment.

I reboot daily, so I;m pretty sure that isn't the cause of the problem.

Ok installed it, works great, but there two tiny problems.
1. Sound is more choppy when you put some load on the device, but this nothing that bad.
2. The sliders are gone :S
P.S. I can see them when I open this app and then they disappear.
EDIT:
O Shi.. mafw-dbus-wrapp 47% CPU, no wonder it's choppy, and pulse audio 15% so it keeps my cpu at 500Mhz all time.
