shall i update ? i read the guide and its a bit complicated since i dont wanna miss around with xterminal ... or is there a simpler way to install it ?!

The update can be installed from inside the Application Manager. Tap "Updates" and it will appear as "Maemo 5."

If you've made alterations to the layout of your file system (moving things off the rootfs, deleting things) then the update may not work.

a guide here on maemo.org , on a topic for the new pr , so i just click the download and the device reboots and its installed ?

I almost wish I hadn't given my name, address and phone number to Microsoft a zillion times, and to many other companies.

Here in the US they are trying to pass a law meaning that it's impossible to have a prepaid phone without having presented id, and the phone manufacturer will be required to keep the information on you. And I think the law probably will pass.

do i have to give my name ? how can they force me ?
and is it simple ? or do i have to tinker with the phone ?
