There are sleepanalyzers for several OS. As far as I understand, I'm not an expert, an accelerometer is needed to analyze the depth of sleep and make a graph of it. (That's what these analyzers do)
Is it theoretically possible to build such an app. for the N900? .

Thanx for answering,

It's very possible. The API for using the accelerometer is documented so it's a SMOP (Simple Matter of Programming).

Of course it's possible. But this is the problem with iPhone apps--the general worthlessness of what appears to make the phone so versatile. Go get a real sleep study done medically where thery measure your eeg, breathing, heartrate, and O2 sats.

Accelerometer, microphone or camera; all those can do it with suitable algorithm and program. Your big muscles are either totally relaxed, or then not and moving.

Would be something special to have all those sensors in N900 program and do correlation based algorithm on those optionally. Something other devices wouldn't have.

I know that such an app. is not very scientific, but it can more or less objectivy the feeling of having slept well, or having the feeling to get up 'broken'in the morning.

I know there is already one application in n900. The application name is "sleeppy". I've used several times, and it is a simple application. The app is checking the sleep patten and writes a log and you can set up alarm.

I found it on the web. It exists in Russian language only.
