The default xterm program icon only opens one window. This is a problem if your main xterm window is maximised via gconf - as you cannot get to menu to open a new terminal window.

So i made a desktop launcher that will start a new terminal window. As root, copy arnterm.desktop to /usr/share/appplications/hildon/arnterm.desktop and you can now open new terminals from app launcher. Works with catorise too. (goes in "all")

Or, you press Shift+Ctrl+x and get a new XTerminal.

Or you type osso-xterm& at the prompt in the XTerminal you've already got.

You can't get to menu from a fully maximized xterm. It is ok to not know what I am talking about.

Thanks for the ctrl-shift x tip, but i prefer my solution over finger gymnastics. YMMV. HAND.
