because you need to change the connection to internet2.voicestream.com

that means you are using the cheap plan to access internet .

By default the PR 1.2 is using epc.tmobile.com so you need to manually change it.

use Fapn --> simple application.

Or change the gprs settings manually

menu -> Settings -> Internet Connection -> T-Mobile Internet -> and modify the setting to internet2.voicestream.com

Hi,

It happened to me too today morning,

I was getting free internet from t-mobile all this time as the setting called "t-mobile internet" was there in network selection window since i got the phone

i did OTA update this morning and that option disappeared.. this sucks i had enjoyed 5 months of free internet on this phone since i got it.. hopefully resetting the sim and rebooting solves the issue

AFAIK the APN default settings are pulled from the SIM card, not the OS. I have been using epc since January. Some time during the night my connection restored and has been good since i woke up about 3 hrs ago.

Free internet? You most likely have a data plan included or are about to receive a huge bill.

Na,

i never received a bill for data for the past 5 months as i said.. when i got the phone from nokia and popped my tmobile sim in , i had an option called T-Mobile Internet" in the network selection window and it connected without any trouble. i checked my bill for past 5 months and iwas only getting charged 39.99 for voice and 4.99 for the sms package that i have added to my plan.

this morning after the OTA update to 1.2 the "t-mobile internet" option disappeared. i tried adding internet2.voicestream.com wap.voicestream.com and epc settings with proper proxies and dns addresses from here but no luck so far....

no free internet any more WAAAAAAA

I'll try flashing the phone back to 1.1 and see if it works.. this frekin 1.2 update sucks *** for me, i would rather get my free internet back that get some added mail and chat functionality...

Do you have fMMS installed? I just noticed that my MMS APN and internet APN have changed interfaces since the update. Internet APN was gprs0 and is now gprs1 while the MMS APN went from gprs1 to gprs0.

Just to say that I managed to fix my problem by manually entering the settings I found in this website.

Don't know if it's any good but it worked for my provider.

Hope it helps

i just remembered that it was set to internet2.voicestream.com when i had a free working internet previously

changed it back to internet2.voicestream.com and BAAAM... internet is back...for a minute i got scared that i had lost the free stuff....

HAHAHAH!!!! more free internet from T-Mobile ( seems like my sim chip is set to receive data for free for some reason...lol works for me)
