I checked the timezone setting on N900 (date&time settings via gui) and I changed it from manual to automatic . now the sync works well.
edit: I have PR1.2
All my appointments get added to my phone 3hrs early.
Yet, if I create an appointment on my phone, and sync it back to Outlook, it syncs the appointment at the correct time.
Both computer and phone are set to the same region and time zone.
