After searching the forums for a while I didn't see any posting about this issue so I am posting this to see if I am the only one having this problem.

A few days ago I had problems updating to PR 1.2 via NSU so I just did it today. First I installed the new firmware with the Nokia Software Updater (NSU) on a PC with Windows 7 and afterwards installed the update via the program manager on the device over a wlan connection. Everything seemed fine. After setting up the the wlan connection I started installing applications in the program manager. Unfortunately some applications failed to install, like e.g. "TouchSearch". It states that some for the installation necessary applications are missing. Under details -> problems it says the missing program package is: python2.5-minimal (=2.5.4-1maemo6). Note the "maemo6" which seems rather strange (see below).

After flashing twice (on an PC with Windows XP with the flasher-3.5) the problem persists (image RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin).

So I flashed the device a third time with the RX-51_2009SE_3.2010.02-8_PR_COMBINED_MR0_ARM.bin image and updated the device from the program manager via WLAN. This did not help. Even trying to resolve the problem via command line by manually installing the package with "apt-get install" did not help (I installed python2.5-minimal -> According to "dpkg -l | grep python" "2.5.4-1maemo5" is installed; notice the maemo5!)

So I wanted to ask if other people have simular problems, if the applications are just not ready for the update (why a freemantle 1.2 repository then) or if I am the only one having this problem...

I have the same issue and just installed PR1.2 update today. File that I downloaded was RX-51_2009SE_10.2010.19-1.203.1_PR_COMBINED_203_ARM. if no fix is posted soon will need to go back to 1.1 until Vodafone finally release pr 1.2.

I tried installing BarrioSquare, and I get an installation problem stating:
Conflict with application packages: python2.5-qt4-gui(4.7-maemo7)

I don't pretend to know what that package is, nor do I know anything about debian packages, apt-get options, etc.

I'm sure there is a simple way around this, but I currently can't install BarrioSquare... and that frustrates me (slightly).

That being said, worth it to have video calling and a proper Facebook chat!

I apologize in advance for the bad English. I use translate.google.ru

I think I have the same problem with Python2.5 as in Surtur.
I think that the problem is incorrectly specified dependency newly added deb package Python2.5. Should be "python2.5-minimal (= 2.5.4-1maemo5)", not "python2.5-minimal (= 2.5.4-1maemo6)"

I am going to contact nokia support tonight and see if they have any resolution for the issue as the phone is currently next to useless.

I have the same problem, ask "nokia care" to see if they have a solution. They answered me to bring back the n900 to the nokia care point because nokia techs have more rights in order to flash the device. Not a good solution for me but if no other solution, I will try it. It will take nokia 2 days to flash the device.
