There is no support for Skype on the N800, despite what others may tell you.
You'll have to wait for updates or whatever... just like the rest of us.

Absolutely Toon, and there are places to do that.... doesn't mean those suggestions or feature request will be read though.... which is generally the case with Skype and their forums.

I wouldn't try too hard with Skype right now. I tried it yesterday with someone I have chatted with before, and the call quality was terrible and the call was quickly cut off by Skype.

Skype for mobile phones forum has been renamed to Skype for Devices and it is now the right forum to post about the N800.
Also a new project has been set up in Jira, Skype's public bugtracker so you can submit bugs. https://developer.skype.com/jira/
