Try "Power search" next time. You'll get better results with that.

this kinda sucked, most of us have added the extra-devel and extra-testing catalog and so when choosing "ALL", it will take quite a while to load the long list of apps.
I find it much faster to just use the search function but now that it's removed, i have to wait longer by loading "ALL"......of course, you can choose the individual sections to load only items in that particular category/section, but sometimes you don't know which category that the app you want might be in...

That means the category function is only useful if you know which category it belongs to.
In any other case you are best off just going by "ALL"
