I know there is Catorise but that just automatically makes the menu folders for you and puts the icons in them. Is there not an app that allows you to create your own folders and move icons in folders for the menu?

Does it support new folders?

Anyway the answer to Why, is because no -one has coded it yet
Fancy learning a bit of code to help out?

The other suggestions could be to create a brainstorm, a [request] thread or at least getting interest in it
Sounds like a useful idea.

Catorise supports the FreeDesktop standard (AFAIK), so you can edit the shortcuts to be in you own custom categories. (well if it does not, it simulates that it does)

And you dont need to code either noobmonkey, just edit the desktop files.

What's sad isn't even that someone didn't know about ApMeFo but that there's like 3 different posts after the OP all carrying on a completely unaware discussion...

Speaking of ApMeFo - the current system is so broken - stuff doesn't work it's way down to Maemo Extras fast enough. That's probably the cause of most of the ignorance.
