What is the status of your phone now?
Did you loose Wi-Fi connection during download?

If you can no longer use your phone then only option is to Nokia Software Updater or Flasher

well, i do it all the time and didn't see any side effects yet.

app manager is a pita and, anyway, it does not work when connected via usb -- like other gui apps using network access, it works only via gprs/umts or wifi, because some genius at nokia decided to cripple yet another full working and useful feature of linux ...

thus, for an efficient and fast way, i use the shell with apt, which surprisingly works around that stupid limitation.

I did my initial Pr 1.2 update by using the command line, and boy it bricked up my device.

I had to do a flash with a Vanilla image to get everything working.

upgrade to pr1.2 via apt stopped almost immediately b/c too little space in root (obiviously).
since i was too lazy to look up the way to point apt to another location. it was rather late, and after seeing the inept way, nokia handles package creation and management, i used the little blinking symbol.

but ususally, if you know your way around debian, apt and dpkg, no situation is unsolvable.

anyway, flashing is certainly the fastest and most painfree way.

I bricked my cousin's phone yesterday. The dist-upgrade failed half way. Every thing was showing as Blocks.

I used flasher and it fixed the phone.

But one strange thing, the flasher did not remove my messages, contacts, call history etc. Just the applications were gone. I always thought that flasher will wipe off every thing on my phone.

the flasher doesn't.
the image you flash does.

and since there are two, one for the rootfs and one for the user data, and only the rootfs one is necessary for the upgrade, you most likely did not flash user data.
if you want to, just fetch the second image and reset the user area, too.
