for new users attempting the username/password extraction method here are some tips.

1. The more you can move from phone to card results in smaller backup file which can take a long time to parse if large.

2. You dont need to create a dummy SIP profile. The truphone username is in the truphone SIP profile. You can just search for the username string to find the right block file.

3. Windows XP by default doesnt search for strings in files with no extensions. You can rename all block_xxx files to block_xxx.txt with the command "rename *.* *.txt" when in the same directory as the block files.

4. You dont need to wait for the entire parsing to finish to search for the string. doing periodic searches while the parse process is occuring can save a lot of time.

i cant get truphone to work on my n900.. where it says address and password.. what do i put?

guys...i have been trying to setup truphone on the n900
i have had it on the n85 before

address : 3******@truphone.com
password: **********

advanced settings :

use for telephone numbers : true
user name : +2010*******
transport : UDP
outbound proxy: truphone.com
port: 5062
discover public address: true
loose routing: true
keep alive mechanism: auto
keep alive period: auto
auto detect stun: true

it keeps telling me USER NAME OR PASSPWORD INCORRECT

do i have anything wrong? .. coz i am pretty sure about the user name and password

i just got the n900 and i really wana setup truphone on it

Anybody still using truphone voip? Mine has stoppped working this week? not sure why?
